Incoloy 800 Round Bar

One of the first alloys to reach the market was Incoloy 800 Round Bar, which was slightly altered into Incoloy 800H by adjusting the amount of carbon introduced to the alloy. Iron (39.5%), nickel (30-35%), and chromium (19-23 per cent) make up the bulk of this substance’s content. Less than 1% of other elements are found in small amounts. These are aluminum, titanium, and carbon. Due to the alloy’s ability to withstand prolonged exposure to temperatures of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit without undergoing embrittlement, these rods are particularly beneficial for high-temperature machinery in the petrochemical sector. These round bars are also employed in various applications, including reformer output pigtails and manifolds, nitric acid-activated carbons, pressure vessels, dampers, and heat exchangers. Condensers, heating systems, ovens, superheaters, and other heavy machinery all often employ Incoloy 800 round bars for thermal transfer.

Incoloy 800 Round bars are offered in outer diameters ranging from 1/4 to 2 inches. These bars range in length from 100mm to 3000mm. These bars are produced using the cold-drawn procedure. The forging process of the bars is carried out in a temperature range of 2200 –1600 degrees Fahrenheit. It leads to forming of a chromium-carbon precipitate layer on the bars’ surface. Therefore, it is necessary to cool down the bar through this temperature range. The Round Bars’ overall corrosion rate and creep strength at elevated heat have been increased. The bars feature a classy finish in either BA Finish, Matt Finish, Rough Turned, or Bright Polish. ASTM B408 or ASME SB408 is the standard specification for these round bars. Even when exposed to heat for extended periods in the 1200°–1600° F range, where many stainless sheets of steel get fragile, this grade of Round Bars will not become brittle. The Round Bar has outstanding all-around corrosion resistance. When the solution is annealed, they also offer exceptional creep and strain breakage qualities. These round bars’ physical characteristics include a density of 7.94 g/cm3 and a melting point of 1385 °C. Hardness brinner, which has a value of 230, and tensile strength, which has a value of 520 Mpa, are two mechanical characteristics of this round bar. These round bars have a 30% elongation and a 220 Mpa yield strength. Due to the mentioned characteristics, consumers can utilize Inconel 800 Bar in the petrochemical furnace sectors and produce pigtails, headers, and sheathing for electric heater elements.
