The range of 440C stainless steel round bars outer diameters is 3mm to 800mm. These circular bars are available in lengths of 1 to 6 meters. This round bar possesses several mechanical properties, such as Brinell hardness, yield strength, elongation, and tensile strength, identifying the point at which the material breaks. At various tempering temperatures, the value of these characteristics changes. These mechanical characteristics become less valuable as temperature rises. The tensile strength value reduces from 2030 Mpa to 1790 Mpa when the temperature rises from 204 to 371 degrees Celsius. A yield strength drop occurs from 1900 Mpa to 1660 Mpa. The elongation, which has a value of 4%, is constant across all temperatures. The value of Hardness Brinell also drops from 59 to 56. The bars are finished elegantly in your choice of BA Finish, Matt Finish, Rough Turned, or Bright Polish. The specifications for these round bars are ASTM A276 and ASME SA276. These circular bars can withstand harsh conditions, including chlorine and oxidizing fluids. These round bars can also be hardened by heating the alloy to 760°C. Due to its ease of air-hardening, this grade of round bars is difficult to weld. The bars should be warmed to 260°C to weld this alloy. Utilizing standard cold-working methods, this bar may be somewhat cold-worked. The marine and seawater industries highly value their resistance to cracking and crevice corrosion. The strength and quality of these circular bars are tested. These examinations include radiographic, micro-macro, pitting, PMI, intergranular, chemical/spectroscopic, ultrasonic, and optical testing.
